So....what is mince curry ?
It is ground lean beef, packed with aromatic flavours of curry powder, fresh ginger and garlic, potatoes, peas and other spices.....
And can be enjoyed with plain white rice or delicious buttered roti :)

Step 1. Heat Oil in a large pot on medium to high heat
Step 2. Add Onions, cardamon pods,cinnamon sticks and curry leaves and fry until golden
Step 3. Add the mince meat, garlic and ginger and braise for 5 minutes.
Step 4. Add a cup of warm water to the mince meet and cook on medium heat
Step 5. Add the potatoes with 2 cups of warm water and cook until tender
Step 6. Add the peas and simmer for 8-10 minutes
Step 7. Add the spices (tumeric, chilli powder and the masala) and the salt, then cook and stir for 10 minutes
Step 8. Add the spices and the salt, then cook and stir for 10 minutes. Add a little water to prevent the spices from burning
Step 9. Sprinkle over with fresh coriander
Mince Curry Shopping List:
- 1kg Mince
- 3 Cardmon Pods
- 5 Curry Leaves
- 1 tsp tumeric
- 1 tsp chilli powder (Optional)
- 6 potatoes, cut into cubes
- 3 tbsp coriander roughly chopped
- 3 finely chopped onions
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 3 tbsp fresh garlic and ginger grated
- 3 tbsp roasted masala
- Salt to taste
- 250g peas
- 3 tbsp oil
